You receive more benefits when restoring or customizing a vintage vehicle if you perform upgrades. Some of the options that were not available on all models back in the day are being offered today by manufacturers like Flaming River. Flaming River has stepped up its game and is offering tilt steering columns for several classic models, and this month we're doing a tilt column installation on a '69 Chevy Caprice. That particular model year was the first for Chevy in which the ignition went on the steering column.

There are other chrome tilts on the market, but no one does it better than Flaming River. They use only quality GM parts and offer the only all-new parts pledge in the business. There are no "junkyard" parts. What does this mean to you? An exclusive three-year/36,000-mile warranty certificate. There's really no way to go wrong with a warranty like that.

If we were all the same height, we would probably not need tilt steering columns, but we are all different shapes and sizes. For us round ones, tilt columns come in handy when climbing in and out of the car. Now follow along as we add a new chrome-plated Flaming River steering column to give this classic Caprice better handling and one of the more popular modern day options.
