You know that old saying, "If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself"? Well, L.P. of Los Angeles, California, and a member of Individuals Car Club, knows the feeling. His pearly '99 Lincoln Town Car is the result of him not liking the other Lincolns that he was seeing around town.

"I'd been seeing lots of Town Cars out there," L.P. explains, "but they just weren't right. So I decided to do my own and show the streets of L.A. how to do it, the Individuals way, and that's how 'Ice Cream' came about." L.P. plainly couldn't wait to "scoop" the other Town Car cruisers.

L.P. employed some of L.A.'s finest, such as "Switchman" who assembled the elegant hydraulics setup and "Polo" who covered the Ford product in creamy GM white paint, to build a top-notch Town Car in just four months. And how has the competition reacted to Ice Cream? "Brain freeze," anyone?

Engine/Drivetrain: Stock 4.6-liter V-8

Body/Paint: "Polo" of L.A. used GM white paint to achieve the car's creamy finish. "Curly" of Long Beach, California, gets the pinstriping props, while "Junior" of L.A. came up big with the chrome plating.

Interior: L.P.'s friend Louis cleaned thing up inside until the white interior was spotless.

Sound System: An Alpine IVA-W205 "mobile multimedia station" mounted in the middle of the dash controls Hifonics amps, Pioneer tweeters and Kicker L7 subwoofers. Snider at Quest Customs in Inglewood, California, competently connected the components.

Setup: Lifting and lowering L.P.'s Lincoln is a two-pump whammy setup put together by "Switchman" in his backyard in L.A. The clean setup includes three square dumps, 6-inch (front) and 10-inch (rear) cylinders, five switches and six batteries, plus hard-lines installed by Igarashi at Craps Hydraulics in Santa Fe Springs, California.
