Jeremy's Blue Grass State Cutlass Is Sure Sweet To Look At.

By Jeffrey Rick

"Sweet" may not be word enough to do justice to Jeremy Atkinson's '85 Olds Cutlass, "Eye Candy," cruising out of Lexington, Kentucky, and flying the Drop Mob plaque. Jeremy spent three years working with the guys at Drop Mob Motorsports and other top Blue Grass State customizers making his vision of what a sharp Cutlass could be into an eye-popping reality.

In addition to lowriding, 26-year-old Jeremy lists playing drums among his interests. It can be said that he truly drove his blue beauty through to completion without missing a beat. Jeremy thanks his wife, Danyelle, daughter Breckyn, his mom and dad, Tim, Kevin and everyone else who helped this project reach such a sweet conclusion.

Eye CandyOwner: Jeremy Atkinson

Vehicle: '85 Oldsmobile Cutlass

City/State: Lexington, Kentucky

Club: Drop Mob C.C.

Engine/Drivetrain: Jeremy and Tim Taylor at Drop Mob Motorsports in Lexington dropped in a painted and polished 350-c.i.d. crate engine with an Edelbrock carb and other performance enhancements, and mated it to a 350 Turbo transmission and Flowmaster exhaust system with ceramic headers.

Body/Paint: Jesse and Keenan at G&S Autobody in Lexington prepped the G-body and then Keenan put down a Viper Blue paint job. "Lil' Jack" in Harrodsburg, Kentucky, applied the pinstriping and "performed all of the detail work." "Porky" and Freddie at Fayette Plating in Lexington get the credit for the chrome plating.

Interior: Troy Hensley at Hensley's Auto Trim in Richmond, Kentucky, worked up the white vinyl interior, which also features a custom billet dash, Colorado Customs steering wheel and Lokar shifter.

Sound System: Jeremy entrusted Kenny Arnett at Burk's Autosports in Georgetown, Kentucky, for the audio/video installation that includes a JVC head unit and speakers, Audiobahn amps and crossovers, PlayStation 2 and a 10-inch monitor. A Viper alarm protects Eye Candy from any unwanted attention.

Setup: Jeremy and Kevin King teamed up on the three-pump Pro-Hopper hydros (with help on the hard-lines by Fernando) with chrome blocks, Adex dumps, 8-inch (front) and 14-inch (rear) cylinders, 2-ton (front) and 3-ton (rear) springs, four switches, Motorcraft solenoids and six Deka batteries.

Tires: 14-inch Dayton (sponsored by Lucky's Krazy Kustoms)

Wheels: P175/70-R14 Cooper Lifeline whitewalls
